In
the food industry it's not possible to use conventional Bourdon
pressure gauges. This is because product residues could remain inside
the sping and cannot be fully removed. This gives rise to a hygiene
problem due to bacterial contamination.
It is essential that pressure gauges for use in this sector should be fitted with a facing membrane separator to ensure perfect hygiene and cleanliness.

These are devices that can open or close an electric circuit. They are constructed using movable contacts in air that can be positioned on 270° of the scale. They are usually made in silver, for severe working conditions we recommend platinum, and for use under vibration they can be equipped with magnetic blocks. Electrical contacts can be applied to all manometers, hydrometers, and vacuum guages over DN60.
